The Thirsty Bird Cap features an integrated float valve system that replaces the cap on your current Chicken Coop Company waterer to automatically refill the waterer as your flock drinks. It’s a smart, sanitary upgrade to the traditional waterer—perfect for busy chicken keepers and thirsty birds alike.

Q: Do I still need to clean the waterer?
A: The Thirsty Bird Cap uses a fully enclosed system with nipples, so water stays clean longer. We recommend checking and rinsing every few weeks or as needed.
Q: Can I use it without connecting to a hose?
A: The continuous flow system is designed to be connected to a hose. If you need a manual-fill option, check out our original PVC waterer models.
Q: Can the Cap fit on other 3" PVC waterers.
A: Yes! The Three inch cap fits 3" PVC and can is easy to install.
Q: Can I use the Thirsty Bird in winter?
A: No — the Thirsty Bird Cap will freeze in freezing temperatures. As will the hose running to the unit. You will need to use a separate heating source or a heated waterer during the winter months to keep your flock’s water from icing over!
